This year Weber is aiming to firmly cement its place as the UK’s number one barbecue brand - integral to this will be Weber’s sponsorship of the British BBQ Championships, held at Laverstoke’s Field to Fork Festival 30 & 31st July, with preliminary rounds at Taste of London, Regents Park 16-19 June. The BBQ Championships activity is just one part of a wider partnership Weber has entered into with Laverstoke Park Farm.

The Field to Fork Festival is a combination of county show and food festival where visitors experience life on the UK’s leading Biodynamic and organic farm – Laverstoke Park, founded by former F1 world champion Jody Scheckter. Visitors can- Jump aboard the Farm Tour Trailer and explore the farm from the milking parlour, see mozzarella being made, the stunning vineyard and meet buffalo calves, sheep and pigs. Take part in bread making, ice-cream making and even sausage making workshops and so much more!

At Laverstoke’s Field to Fork Festival anyone purchasing organic meat or produce from Laverstoke Park Farm (including Laverstoke’s signature organic buffalo steaks) will have the opportunity to grill or roast their food on a Weber barbecue.  Weber demonstrators will be on hand throughout the event to give hints and tips and to ensure that the food is cooked to perfection.

The deal will also see Weber feature in all relevant recipes or cookery books produced by Laverstoke Park Farm.  Laverstoke Park Farm will also supply organic produce to the Weber Grill Academy.

For 2011 Weber has renewed its major sponsorship of Grillstock, the Bristol based barbecue event billed as the UK’s biggest US-style barbecue competition, music festival and celebration of alfresco living.

Weber will be supplying top tips and recipes to the Grillstock website throughout the summer, and Weber branding will appear on all Grillstock promotional material as well as giving barbecue cookery demonstrations to the 6,000 visitors expected at the event.
